Excursion schedule
Gathering and departure for Belgrade, with stops for coffee and food. Arriving on our tour of the Serbian capital, we will see the Kalemegdan fortress with its Renaissance towers, loopholes and fortifications. Then, in the historic center of the city we will see many and impressive buildings of the 19th century such as the National Museum, while along the Avenue of the Revolutions we will see the Parliament, a classic example of Balkan architecture. Accommodation at the hotel.
Breakfast and continue north to the Hungarian border. In the afternoon arrival in the capital Budapest and we start our acquaintance with the city where we will see the Heroes' Square, the Millennium Monument, the Cathedral of St. Stephen and on the Avenue of the Republic we will admire the well-preserved buildings. Continuing we will see the massive baroque Parliament and pass the Buddha from the Bridge of Lions. On the hill of the fishermen we will see the castles and the church of Matias, in which the coronations of the kings took place.On the hill of Gellert, from where we will have a panoramic view of the Buddha and Pest, we will see the Statue of Liberty and the castle, the Citadel. Accommodation at the hotel.
We leave for the imperial city. During our tour we will see the Ringstrasse with the magnificent park, the Opera House, the Hoffenburg Palace, the Parliament, the City Hall, the Cathedral of St. Stephen and the Church of the Tamat. Next we will visit the summer palaces of Maria Theresia - Sonbrunn's masterpiece with 1,400 rooms - and Belvedere Palace. After the tour there will be time to take a walk in the Greek quarter of the city. Return to Budapest late in the afternoon.
Departure for Estergom, the first capital of Hungary where we will visit the church of St. Stephen, with the royal tombs, the ecclesiastical treasure of the Hungarians. Then we will visit Visegrad and our last stop is St. Andreas. Return to Budapest. We suggest you enjoy a beautiful cruise on the calm waters of the Danube.
After breakfast departure for the city of Novi Sad, the "Athens of Serbia" as they call it. In our tour we will see Petrovaradin castle, the Cathedral, the City Hall and we will have free time on the main pedestrian street. We continue to Belgrade, arrival and check-in at the hotel.
Early in the morning we depart for a visit to Nis, birthplace of Constantine. Short tour and departure for our city.
