Departure at 06:00. Crossing Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and with an intermediate stop for coffee in Moustheni, arrival at the Greek-Turkish border of Kipi. Free time in Duty Free. After the necessary formalities entry into Turkey. Passing through Redestos, arrival in Istanbul. Accommodation at the hotel. Free time on the pedestrian street of Peran. Overnight.
Breakfast and deparure for the tour of Istanbul. We will visit the masterpiece of all times, the Hagia Sophia that amazes us with its uniqueness. We continue for a visit to the Byzantine Hippodrome. There we will see the German fountain, the column of Theodosius, the Bronze column of Delphi and the column of Constantine the Purple-Born. Go to the city market, the famous Kapali Charsi, with its 4,000 shops, where we can find silverware, jewelry, textiles and all kinds of souvenirs. We continue to the Egyptian market (Misir Charsi) where we can buy our spices. Then we voluntarily participate in a cruise on the Bosphorus.We take a sailing tour, enjoying the European and Asian side of the Bosphorus. Return to the hotel.
Breakfast and departure for an optional excursion to the Princes' Islands. First stop is Halki, where we will climb the hill of Elpida to visit the famous Theological School. Then we will visit Prigipo, the fourth island of the Princes' Islands. Free time to enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Return to Istanbul. In the evening we suggest a group outing in Kum Kapi, in the fish taverns with the wandering musicians and singers with the traditional instruments.
Breakfast. Departure for the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Ark of Orthodoxy, and the Patriarchal Church of St. George. We continue to the church of Panagia ton Vlacherna, where the Akathistos Hymn sings for the first time in 626 AD. Visit and pilgrimage to the Holy Monastery of Zoodochou Pigi with the holy water in Baloukli. Then we take the road back.
