Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus and the largest community on the island. It is built in the Cape of Akrotiri on the south coast and is the largest port of transit trade in the Mediterranean. Limassol Castle is located in the heart of the old town, just above the old port. According to tradition, this is where Richard the Lionheart married the Berengars of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191. Visitors can also visit a large number of museums (Archaeological, Folk Art) and archeological sites (Kourion, Limassol Castle, Learned).
